How does Redhead Media’s ‘cutting-edge design’ benefit my business?

Why are ‘web standards’ important for me?

In order to have an effective website, it should be developed using web standards. Put simply, it means creating a website applying the very best coding practices (separating style and content though using XHTML and CSS), so that the web pages load quickly and correctly. The website should appear without any errors, such as text and images shifting, or failing to display. A website designed with web standards can also be viewed on devices other than computers (i.e. on a mobile phone). Websites that are designed using web standards are excellent for users and also help significantly with your search engine optimisation strategy, by providing search engine spiders with the raw content they need.

Why is ‘usability’ so important in Web Design?

Usability can be applied to anything. In its most simple form, an example of something designed with bad usability would be a chocolate teapot (for obvious reasons!) A website should be created with usability in mind, designed in such a way that users can find what they are looking for quickly and efficiently. With the clever use of navigation and other elements of the site design and structure, we give your users an enhanced experience and subtly lead them through a process of positive action (i.e. one that gets a result for you, such as an enquiry or purchase.)
