Ascot Lawyers

Ascot Lawyers is a leading litigation practice specialising in a range of legal services from medical negligence to commercial debt recovery. We were invited to pitch against three competing web design agencies, and were very pleased to have been chosen to carry out the assignment - a complete re-design of their website, and search engine optimisation of the site to maximise traffic and exposure to potential clients. The brief was essentially to position Ascot Lawyers on the web, as a professional, friendly, trustworthy firm of solicitors who are easy to understand - servicing clients across the whole of the UK.

Ascot Lawyers required a modern approach, incorporating lots of clearly laid-out information, including a news section and added facilities such as an RSS news feed. We used photography and imagery that conveyed those messages, while also working with the colour-scheme set by the existing logo. As always, usability was also a very key factor. Mary Knowlson, Principal Solicitor at the firm, says:

Moving forward, the strategy is to develop each section of the site (Ascot Lawyers' main practice areas) into extensive and informative resources. This is acheived by having a targeted content development strategy and ensuring relevant call to actions are located in highly visible areas.

Calls to action are often neglected in modern web design and are vital to converting potential and exisiting clients - effectively offering next steps and funneling users of the site to contact information or downloads where opportunity can be tracked and followed through.

By having the correct content strategy and effective information architecture, users will be able to find what they need and take action against this. This will make any wesbite work much harder for the business.
